An intimate ceremony at their church and a beautiful park made for the perfect intimate wedding.

A few weeks prior to their wedding, I received and email notification that this couple was getting married soon and were looking for a photographer. They had received my information as a referral from a friend, and they loved my work!

We set up a time to meet before the wedding. This is one of my favorite steps for weddings whether I’m meeting with the couple or with another photographer I’ll be working with. It gives us time before the big day to get to make sure we’re a good fit. We met at Armor Coffee in Allen, TX to sit down with some coffee and get to know each other.

It was a blessing to capture these moments for their wedding!

When I asked about how they met, Rebekah told me about her prayer for a husband. She asked God to make it obvious who was meant for her. To place the man for her in front of her so clearly that she couldn’t deny that he was the answer to her prayer.

And there was Antonio. So obviously placed in front of her, doing something so genuinely caring that he was obviously sent just for her.

As we sat and sipped out coffees, they explained that they were planning a big reception in the Spring of 2024 back in Ohio, where Antonio is from. But right now they wanted to be married and enjoy this time as newlyweds. They planned the day at their church, Frisco Bible Church, and wanted to have formal portraits done at a local park afterward.

The ceremony included traditional vows and lighting of the unity candle, but my favorite part was the readings from both of their moms. Including their parents in the ceremony was such a loving and meaningful detail that I know they will look back on with joy.

After the ceremony, we headed over to Hope Park in Frisco. It was quiet, especially for a Saturday! There was a gentle breeze and we were blessed to have a pleasantly cooler temperature. We captured a few moments under the pavilion with a few cheers from a nearby gathering, then walked down to the quiet, serene area by the pond.

We ended our time together with a quiet walk across the park. We parted ways at the parking lot for the newlyweds to enjoy their reception at Whiskey Cake with friends, and begin their new life together as Mr. & Mrs. Montanez.
