Wedding Detail Checklist

If you want photos of those small items that mean so much, here’s a list to help you gather them.

The wedding morning can feel like a whirlwind—between hair, makeup, breakfast, and emotions, the last thing you want to worry about is hunting down your shoes or your wedding rings for photos. That’s why creating a “wedding detail box” ahead of time is one of the easiest ways to set yourself up for a calm, organized start to your big day.

Here’s how to pull it together:

1. Rings (All of Them!)
Pack both wedding bands and the engagement ring. If you’re worried about keeping them safe, assign a trusted friend or family member to be in charge of the box that morning.

2. Invitation Suite
Include one full invitation set: invitation, RSVP card, details card, envelopes—everything. Your photographer (that’s me!) can style these beautifully for flat lays that help tell the story of your day.

3. Shoes
Whether you’re wearing heels, boots, or something totally unique, pop them in the box (or next to it) so they’re easy to find.

4. Perfume or Cologne
The scent you wear on your wedding day will forever bring back memories—include the bottle in your box for photos and easy access.

5. Jewelry
Necklace, earrings, bracelet—whatever you’re wearing, keep it all together so it’s ready to go.

6. Tie or Bow Tie
Groom’s accessories matter too! Add these into the box so your photographer can capture the full vibe of the day.

7. Cufflinks, Watch, Belt
Little items like cufflinks and a watch complete the look—toss them in so nothing is forgotten.

8. Vows or Letters
If you’ve written personal vows or plan to exchange letters, tuck those in too. They make meaningful photo moments.

9. Any Special Extras
Think heirlooms, a handkerchief, custom hanger, wax seals, or anything sentimental.

💡 Pro Tip: Pack It Early

Put everything in a shoebox-sized container or tote a few days before the wedding. Label it clearly and set it aside in a place that’s easy to grab—this makes it easy for me to start styling details as soon as I arrive.

A little prep goes a long way toward making your wedding morning feel smooth and joyful—and ensures those meaningful items are beautifully captured without the stress.

Happy planning! 💍✨
