Yay! Your wedding day is getting close. But… should you do bridal portraits?!

Adriatica Village in McKinney was gorgeous for Kristin’s bridal portraits. The architecture? Beautiful. The chapel views? Amazing. The wind definitely put on a show for us, but it gave us some wonderful movement in photos!

NOW, what you’re here for! Four reasons to do bridal portraits before your wedding day…

1. It’s the perfect time to do a trial of your hair and makeup.

Still deciding between an updo or hair down? What shade of lipstick should you wear? Bridal portraits give you the chance to do a test run before the big day.

2. You get the joy of wearing that gorgeous dress more than once!

Let’s face it, your wedding dress is a big investment. Why not enjoy it for an extra day? You know you want to wear it more than once!

3. It can save time on your wedding day.

Depending on your wedding timeline, doing photos of just you could save you some time on the big day! How? Great question!

If you choose to do any individual photos on the day of your wedding, that is time that will need to be built into your wedding day timeline. It’s time away from your guests and from your new husband!! I promise you’ll want to enjoy the time with them and not feel rushed doing your photos. Taking the time ahead of time takes the stress off so you so you can enjoy your day!

4. You get to build a relationship with your photographer.

Doing a bridal session before your wedding day allows you to build a relationship with your photographer before your wedding. This can help calm any nerves and get any new-meeting jitters out of the way. You’ll also be able to communicate any special wishes or concerns without the added stress of the wedding day.
