Dogs are part of the family, so put them in your photos!

I know it can be overwhelming to think about handling your dog during pictures. I get it, I promise. They’re in a new place (usually) and there are so. many. new. smells.

But with the right photographer (like me!) you can get images that include your four-legged family members and capture the moments with them.

You’re the center of their world

Yep. I’m going there.

Our dogs are only here for part of our lives, but for them… we are their whole life. From the day you bring them home until they cross the rainbow bridge, they wag when they see you, they stay by your side, and they ever so valiantly bark at the mailman.

A few tips if you bring your dogs…

If you’re planning to have a few photos without your pups present, I recommend bringing a friend to help (or a travel kennel if needed). A friend also comes in handy to help get pup’s attention and look at the camera!

Bonus? Bring a favorite squeaky toy and some treats for motivation!

One important thing to remember

Being a responsible dog owner is key! I want to include your dogs in your images, but please ensure that your dogs have been socialized, are leashed, and are not aggressive. The last thing we want is for an injury to happen during a time that should be fun for everyone.
