Do you love the modern, city vibe of Downtown Dallas, but hate downtown traffic?

My clients and I felt the same, so I asked them to trust me with this north Texas shopping and dining spot.
Yep. Shopping and dining.
Did I mention this was a session for a senior boy? I feel like that’s important.
This senior wanted a city backdrop and modern elements. But driving all the way from the Plano area to downtown Dallas? That was not at the top of the “want-to-do” list.
So I asked his mom to trust me with this idea: Legacy West.

Big city feeling. Small city traffic.
One of the best things about Legacy West is that it was a convenient drive for all of us! Sure, there might be a little traffic on the tollway, but it’s nothing compared to the chaos down in the heart of Dallas!
Legacy West may be geared toward shopping and dining, but the layout of the stores, the beautiful design of the storefronts, and the taller buildings surrounding it still make it feel like it’s in the city.
I recommend going on a weekday or Sunday evening when it’s less busy. If you’re planning an afternoon session, just keep in mind that the buildings will block sunlight well before sunset so keep that in mind too!

Don’t forget the garage.
We all know about the downtown garage that shall not be named. Yes, we miss it being free. Yes, we miss that skyline view. But you can get a similar feeling at the Legacy West garage! I know, I know. It’s not the same. But the controversy over the downtown garage having a fee, or is it even permitting photographers? Or is it even open? Or is it safe? I’ll pass on that mess.
The rooftop of the Legacy West garage has been quiet every time I’ve gone. Obviously that’s not a guarantee, but if you go on a weekday or Sunday evening, it’s likely that there will only be a car or two up there.
